Call for Book Chapters: Emerging Trends and Future Directions in Comparative Literature

Emerging Trends and Future Directions in Comparative Literature

Digital humanities have revolutionized comparative literature, offering new tools and methods for analysis. From digital archives to text mining, these advancements have expanded research possibilities and fostered global scholarly communities. The future of comparative literature embraces transnational approaches and digital-born literature. Cross-media comparisons and global cultural flows reshape literary production and reception, challenging traditional boundaries and creating new narrative forms.

Comparative literature, as an academic field, deals with the study of literature and cultural expression across linguistic, national, geographic, and disciplinary boundaries. It serves a role similar to that of international relations but operates through the prism of languages and artistic traditions to understand cultures “from the inside.”
